Audio Delta i need to increase the input level on my Sound Card can you help me?
hey, i have an m-audio delta sound card - it's output level is alright, but it's input level (for example when i'm recording a microphone) is horrible! i get a really low signal - i tried playing around with the settings of the sound card but that didn't help - i heard i should get an amplifier/Pre Amp for the sound card - does any one know of any cheap (or better yet free) software that does this? or any other solution besides this? thanks!
I bet your microphone needs "Phantom Power" (which most pre-amps can provide). Many microphones need power(volts) to operate correctly.
What other devices have you tried on the inputs?

Breakout box handles 4 balanced or unbalanced +4dB or -10dB analog inputs and outputs. Included software provides digital mixing, routing, and SCMS output. Works with PCs (Pentium II or up) and Macs (G3 or up)...

And like the Delta 66, the Delta 44's breakout box handles 4 balanced or unbalanced, +4dB or -10dB signal level analog inputs and outputs.
